Little J was an absolute dream to photograph at 11 days old – I couldn’t have asked for a better poser for our session. At 11 days old she was still very sleepy and pretty much held any pose I put her in. Loved holding this tiny little one and snuggling with her for a while! Check out the beautiful little Miss J!

Last week was a week of babies and little L was my second session of the week! He was such a dream sleeper during our session – it really does make a difference when you schedule your newborn session within the first 10-11 days. Once he drifted off he stayed in a deep sleep and we were able to capture some great images of him. A big thanks to the W family for having me over for the session – I can’t wait to see him grow up!

Sweet little M is just as beautiful as I knew she would be when I first met her parents at the maternity session! She did give me a run for it when it came to sleeping through her session but I think she just wanted to be awake and near her Mama and stay snuggled up with her. 30 weeks pregnant has never looked so good! I loved capturing these images of my good friend T and her husband this past weekend. I was so happy to get to do this session for her – since she lives in California I won’t get to do the newborn session but I expect to see lots of gorgeous images of this baby girl when she makes her debut! T – you are rocking the pregnancy!

This is going to be one gorgeous baby!

This family of three will soon be a family of four and I’m so glad I could capture a few images of them in their excitement and anticipation of the new baby! We had a beautiful day of sunshine after a day of heavy rain and it’s always great to be out shooting a session in the late afternoon and see that gorgeous sun peeking into my image. I think I promised to do the session quickly since it was a little cool that day but I looked up after an hour and realized I was still shooting. These guys made that so easy – I kept getting so many great images that it was hard to stop! Thanks D Family for allowing me to do your session! I can’t wait to meet the new baby!

This little sweetheart was awesome to photograph! He is such a sweet little snuggler and just tucks right into the curve of your neck – melts my heart completely. We did his beautiful mama’s maternity session just a few weeks ago and I was trying to wait patiently for his arrival! He’s just gorgeous and his mom and dad are loving every minute with this sweet boy.

Miss Grace | Houston Newborn Photography

Meet little Miss Grace! She joins one of my favorite families and her big sister is a former newborn client herself! Grace gave me a run for my money and wasn’t too sure of having her picture taken – even at this early age! We persevered and after one 3 hour session and another 4 hour session – we have some beautiful images of her! Stephanie and Brandon – thank you so much for hanging in there while we worked to get these images. I know it was 2 long sessions – but we got them in the end! Check out the beautiful Grace – with whom I got to snuggle a whole lot – and loved every minute of it!

I had a wonderful maternity session with the gorgeous Katy and her husband this past week at Sam Houston Park. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon – one of those spring-like days we had – and it was just goodness all around! Katy is around 36 weeks so it shouldn’t be too long before this beautiful mama meets her beautiful little girl!

This little dude is the newest baby on our block and I’m seriously having to reign myself in from walking a few houses down, knocking on their door, and asking to snuggle with him for a little while! At 18 days old he was on my “older” newborns – but when his momma said he sleeps hard – she wasn’t kidding. I don’t think he woke up from the time he walked into my front door until the time they walked out. Love those sleepy babies!! Check out our newest (and littlest!) neighbor!

There’s almost nothing I love more than a beautiful place with gorgeous backlighting! Mercer Arboretum never lets me down when the sun is shining through. Add in a gorgeous pregnant lady and it’s like presto magic that makes my heart so, so happy. I always have a hard time narrowing down galleries when I edit and this one was no exception. I just couldn’t press delete very much! Here are a few favorites!

I can’t decide which I like better – color or black & white – so you get to see both!

W family – I had a great time hanging out with you guys! Thanks for putting up with my insane need to take a million images and saying every single time “oh my God – this is gorgeous!” – but as you can see – I was right.
