Hello!

I can’t quite believe I’m setting up a blog, but here goes! I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember – they just weren’t good ones! I didn’t give any thought to getting any better at it until my son was born, and even then it was a delayed reaction after all the sleep deprivation passed and I could open both eyes and sit up straight and not look like a zombie. I bought a Canon point and shoot before Jack was born and documented his little life obsessively. I began to have a more serious interest in it as he grew and I upgraded to my first digital SLR. I’ve been hooked since! Many thousands (literally!) of pictures later I’ve upgraded to a newer SLR, one too many lenses, speedlights, books, and well – the list goes on forever. I started asking friends and family if I could borrow their kids for pictures so I could practice and it’s taken off from there. I’m not sure where all of this will lead – but I’m having a great time on the journey!
